July 10th, 2016: Pennsylvania Hemp Bill arrives to Governor’s desk!

July 2nd, 2016: Pennsylvania Senate passes SB HB967

October 27th, 2015: Pennsylvania Senate Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee unanimously approved legislation (SB50) that would create an agricultural pilot program for industrial hemp research. The measure now advances to the Senate floor.

October 6th, 2015: Pennsylvania House Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee unanimously approved legislation (HB967) that would create an agricultural pilot program for industrial hemp research. The measure now advances to the House floor.

*Notation*: After speaking personally with members of staff for unnamed House Reps on this issue, we have been told “no way” HB967 gets moved to a vote any time before medical marijuana legislation is passed because “it is the same issue”. Extremely frustrating to see the lack of knowledge within the leadership of the state of PA.

March 20th, 2015: Pennsylvania hemp lobbyists gather to garner support for both the senate and house to pass legislation to support the growth of industrial hemp in the state.
