“Hemp is of first necessity to the wealth & protection of the country.” – Thomas JeffersonJesse Clymer
Over the last week we have been working hard behind the scenes to make our products more available to consumers as well as find more products. There is still a good bit of kinks in it but we are slowly getting all of our products available on the Google products feed. Our Facebook following continues to increase and is currently closing in on 2,000 likes. This is great news for us as it gives a bunch of new faces to win hemp things! Our twitter following continues to be stagnant so that is something we will look to increase, as well as finalizing and promoting our LinkedIn page. We received a lot of great feedback with our tell us what you want to see promotions. We heard about things we are already working on as well as things that we have not considered previously.
We are working hard on finalizing a deal to add a bunch of fantastic products under the apparel category. We hope this gets done and we can have them available by the end of the week for viewing on the site. We don’t want to count our chickens before they are hatched so to speak, but we are really excited for the potential additions to our lineup. Our cosmetic line is still working it’s way through the testing work, but we are hoping within the next few weeks to have some finalized recipes for extra “giveaways” to have our fans help give us opinions on how they like them. We are also considering launching a Kickstarter or Kickstarter like website campaign for a few projects that we have shelved right now because of budget restrictions. We will have to weight the pros and cons of doing this, but you may see a blurb come across for one of these sometime in the near future.
Gun control has been a major talking point recently, and has been hand in hand with the drug war. While we continue to maintain that the hemp industry is and should be a separate issue from Marijuana and drug war, the fact of the matter is the general population and news sources lump it together. Many people, including MSNBC reporter Melissa Harris-Perry have stated that ending the “drug war” may be the best way to lower gun violence.
