Gluten Free Black Bean Hemp Brownies

  • 1.5 C Black Beans
  • 0.5 C Hemp Seeds
  • 0.5 C Oates
  • 2 tbsp Cocoa Powder
  • 0.33 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 0.25 C Honey
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
  • 0.5 C Chopped Walnuts Optional
  • 0.5 C Chocolate Chips Optionally Bump up to 1 Cup


  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Drain, rinse, and dry black beans completely
  • Blend hemp seed and oats in food processors for 2-4 minutes until completely smooth
  • Add cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, and mix together
  • Place combing dry ingredients in mixing bowl
  • Blend black beans and honey in food processor for 2-4 minutes until completely smooth
  • Add egg, vanilla, and blend for 10 seconds
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients in mixing bowl
  • Fold in chocolate chips and optional chopped walnuts
  • Pour into grease lined pan
  • Add optional additional 1/2 cup chocolate chips on top
  • Bake for 18-24 minutes
